John Pennie (Liaison Group
Chairman), Robert Macfarlane (Chairman Sandhoe Parish Council), Bill Grigg
(Clerk to Sandhoe Parish Council), Egger Staff - Matthias Veile (Director of Works Manager), Paul Turner (Factory Manager) and Andrew Billings
(Construction Manager).

Dotlinger (Production and Technical Director) and Jean Fearon (Northumberland County Council)
1 The Liaison Working Group’s key contact will be Matthias Veile (Director
of Works Manager), who is now in control
locally. He encourages the parishioners
to phone the Gatehouse if there is sudden and unacceptable noise out of hours.
2 The demolition phases of the
old works are complete.
3 Recycling buildings have been
refurbished
4 There is close liaison with
Nick Barrett at present re remedying of excessive noise emission from the newly
installed machinery. Sound proofing
measures are being urgently explored.
Parishioners should feel free to contact NB for his comments.
5 It was interesting to learn
that the national supply of wood chips has reduced very drastically. In part this is because biofuels plants are
buying up what used to be almost freely available. Prices are much higher. This
means Egger is having to spend a lot of extra time chipping slab wood at
site. This could be noisy.
6 There is no likelihood of 24
hour working for the foreseeable future.
